What ThreadCloud is for

ThreadCloud is the buying operating system for the store. It does five things, in this order:

  1. Build an order — upload a supplier linesheet, AI extracts every style, size, colour, and price into a clean grid you can review and edit.

  2. Enrich — descriptions, fit notes, fabric, country of origin, occasion, and 60+ Shopify metafields filled in by AI and approved by you.

  3. Push to Shopify — products, variants, images, metafields, tags, and barcodes written in one batch. The storefront is live as soon as you approve.

  4. Receive — when the shipment arrives, mark received quantities, lock the FX rate, and print labels (Dymo or fallback Avery).

  5. Reorder & trade — sell-through, age, weeks-of-supply, brand scorecards. Re-buy what’s working, mark down what isn’t.

What’s in scope today

This site covers every screen the team will touch for day-to-day operations. Each workflow has:

  • What it does in one sentence
  • When to use it
  • Step-by-step instructions with screenshots
  • Gotchas and the most common mistakes
  • What to do if it breaks

Print or pin
Every page works as a single-purpose reference. If your team prefers paper, hit print — the layout collapses cleanly.

Reading the screens

Throughout the SOPs, you’ll see these badges referring to ThreadCloud UI states:

And these visual cues:

Tip
A faster way to do something, or something that’s easy to miss.

Heads up
An action with consequences — read before clicking.

Don’t
Something the team should never do without the Owner’s sign-off.

Why this matters
The reason behind a step that looks optional but isn’t.

This wiki is editable. If a step is wrong or missing, email hello@threadcloud.io and we’ll update it.
